The pressure build-up is better and more even than with a classic paddle with a straight shaft, the pressure point moves forward and the typical fluttering is reduced to a minimum. Of course, the Nitro also works on the principle of ‘hydrodynamic lift’. This further stabilises the blade in the water and, with a reduced blade area, ensures better, more even and more efficient pressure build-up than with a paddle with a classic straight shaft.
